Kiki Sabater started her artistic journey of expression in theatre. She began her training at art schools in South Florida. After studying at conservatory in the UK, Sabater moved back to the east coast to attend college, studying both Theatre and Sociology. It was here in the U.S. she developed her poetic style of writing. Her journals are annotated and crowded with writing and notes about self-discovery. After Sabater’s move to New York City, her writing delved deeper into her experiences. Sabater’s work is both personal and introspective. She documents mundane depression-drenched Brooklyn winter mornings to euphoric highs of floating into weeks of wild indecision. When she’s not writing bent over her notebook, she screams into microphones in Brooklyn, NYC with her rock band, Slow Suck NYC. Kiki can be found on Instagram @kikaleek
